Person Centered Approach

J and J Holmes is licensed and operates under Minnesota 245-D Statute. The principle approach J and J Holmes implements for consumer improvement is that of a positive, person centered approach. This is developed through the input of the consumer's interdisciplinary team which typically consists of the consumer, family, guardian, case manager, school / work, and their physicians’ input.

Professional Staff

J and J Holmes prides itself on providing staff with up to date and innovative training to develop each person to their fullest potential. All Direct Care Professionals are trained in the skills of CPR and First Aid. The staff also attend ongoing behavioral management training as well as therapeutic intervention training. Each of the houses have routine staff meetings where they discuss clients’ programs, activities and goals. J and J also has ongoing safety meetings and company enhancement plans.

Consulting Services

Behavior Wizards specializes in completing functional behavior assessments, and then developing person-centered positive behavior support plans to alleviate behavior problems. Our success is based upon the belief that treatment must treat the entire individual, and utilize eclectic – bio-psycho-social techniques. We believe that consistent behavior approaches, structure and routine are the foundation to behavior improvement.

We work hard to build adaptive behavior and teach skills to replace the existing problem behaviors. We use positive based approaches and reinforcement to motivate most individuals. We also take great care in recognizing the individual and creating behavior plans unique to the individual’s strengths and needs.
